Brian D. Dube is a dedicated pastor, husband, father, and resilient leader serving as Lead Pastor of Christian Fellowship Center in New Bedford, Massachusetts. https://cfcnewbedford.org

A lifelong Acushnet, Massachusetts resident, Brian lives on a lake with his wife Rebecca, their daughter Jolee, and two dogs. The couple also has two adult children, Phineas and Emelia. Brian enjoys beaches and books, spending time with family and friends—especially at their family cabin in Vermont. He loves Dunkin’ iced coffee, games (Trivia, Pitch, Codenames, Bezzerwizzer...) and has recently taken up learning to fly planes as a new challenge. He also enjoys watching Jeopardy and listening to the Grateful Dead.

Journey to Ministry

Brian Dube’s path to full-time ministry came through personal transformation. With a young family and a successful career in Information Technology, he struggled with an addiction that escalated from alcohol and partying to prescription painkillers. In 2007, a drug-induced seizure led him to Adult and Teen Challenge in Brockton, Massachusetts. Intended as a short 30-day stay, he remained involved for 14 years—completing the program, joining the staff, advancing to Director of Technology for ATC New England, and eventually serving as an associate director and campus pastor. His family was restored during this time.

He began pastoring in 2009, leading South Coast Community Church in Fairhaven before its 2020 merger with Christian Fellowship Center New Bedford, where he continues as Lead Pastor of a congregation of around 650. He is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God and has served as a chaplain with the New Bedford Police Department.

Health Challenge and Recovery

In November 2023, Brian Dube was diagnosed with a rare form of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a neurological disorder affecting about one in a million. It left him over 95% paralyzed, intubated, and hospitalized for nearly six months across three facilities. He communicated initially only with his eyes or by spelling with his foot. Through intense prayer, surrender, and reliance on God’s presence, he experienced profound spiritual closeness and comfort amid suffering.

By September 2024, he returned to full-time preaching. He continues partial recovery with lingering effects in his hands and face but has embraced new challenges, such as pilot training—overcoming a lifelong fear of flying. His story has inspired his family, church, and community, highlighting God’s goodness and resilience through faith.

Ministry Focus

Brian Dube's preaching and teaching emphasize authentic Christ-centered community, transformation over mere information, perseverance through storms, and tasting and seeing the Lord’s goodness (Psalm 34:8). He actively shares his testimony of redemption from addiction and near-paralysis to encourage others facing trials. Brian has guided families and those addicted through countless interventions.

Brian Dube’s life reflects a powerful narrative of restoration, faithful service, and unwavering trust in God’s sovereignty—whether in recovery ministry, church leadership, or personal adversity. He continues to lead CFC with passion, drawing people closer to Jesus through his preaching, vulnerability, and example.

He is currently writing a book titled "Awakening" about his life experiences and health journey and shares his story regularly through speaking opportunities.
